itsa… – Official Food Partner to Regatta

We thank itsa for their support and are delighted to welcome them as our Food Partner to the Event for 2013. Itsa Team will be situated in Dun Laoghaire Marina, servicing all sailors at the Royal Irish YC and Marina and the National YC, servicing all sailors that end of the Harbour.

Ask anyone from Dun Laoghaire where to go for great tasting and freshly prepared breakfast and lunches, and they will inevitably shout out, “Itsa”. The company, founded by Domini & Peaches Kemp, opened in 2001 and instantly became a regular haunt for sailors who would come in each morning to stock up on packed breakfasts and lunches to take on board before a hard day’s sailing.

The company makes all its own fillings, so think roast chicken, ham and turkey, beef all sliced by hand and accompanied by a great range of condiments and fillings: roast red pepppers, red onion relish, hummus and tapenade, roast beef, caramelized onions, home-made dressings, local cheeses, and fishily sliced tomatoes and crisp lettuce. This is a company that takes it’s filling very seriously.

But that’s not all – their range of homemade brownies, cookies and cakes are completely divine. A rich chocolate brownie (the best in Ireland!), a farmhouse cookie with oats, dried fruit and peanut butter, or the classic chocolate chip are a must for the afternoon. A great selection of retail products and cold drinks ? many of which are health-focused ? as well as our home-made smoothies help complete the picture.

In short, itsa is a must for sailors who want a nutritious, delicious, energy bursting lunch to help win that race!
